US, State and Local Governments Protect Gay Bashers

In short, the Civil Rights Act outlawed race-based discriminatory policies.  It gave Blacks an opportunity for legal redress against anyone who violated the Act. 

All that the LGBT Community wants, needs and deserves is for the government to stop legitimizing unequal treatment of our families, relationships and rights.  The government should get on the right side of this issue as they did for Blacks and other minorities.

As long as the government sanctions discrimination of any kind, bigots and haters will use the government's blessing as a shield to protect them while they discriminate against us.

Just a few of today's headlines illustrate this better than anything else we could say.  Replace the word "gay" with "Black" and then tell us these incidents wouldn't be against the law  :
